I know it can be tough to just truly relax! We spend all week waiting for that one day off and dream of all the things we are not going to do. Then when it finally comes around we feel guilty because we cannot get comfortable with doing nothing!
We work all week delivering on the requests of the higher-ups so it should come as no surprise we struggle to just chill.
My advice is to force the relaxation. Become comfortable with boredom. Relax into the moment and understand you are not wasting a day but recharging your batteries.
Struggling to find fun things to do? Revisit your childhood and think of that game, toy or book you used to love. Pop in the car get into town and repurchase it and enjoy it as an adult. Reconnect with your younger self and feel the joy that comes with it.
Ensure you get out for a walk maybe add 1k to the walk every week and bring the pooches, cat or parrot with you!
A day off should be a day off!
